Rhone-Alpes Bioinformatics Center

The Laboratory of BioCrystallography was implemented at IBCP in 1998. Our goals are to contribute to understand the properties of biological molecules and to relate their corresponding structures to their biological functions. These structures and their complexes of interest, determined by X-ray crystallography techniques, are used in combination with bioinformatics approaches to assist protein engineering, rational drug design, and functional assignment efforts. Our research activities are developed within three fields : Structural Enzymology, Virology, "Proteins and Cancer".
